Federal Business Development Executive

BTC is hiring federal business development executives to assist in the tremendous growth opportunity in our sales/marketing government consulting business.  BTC is in the early start-up phase and is looking for  self motivated and energetic people who are interested in job growth potential. If you do not have experience selling into the government, BTC is willing to train you on the federal sales process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sales presentations.
• Follow up via phone and email with prospects.
• Attend and represent BTC at industry networking events.
• Assist with negotiation of customer contracts and agreements.
• Update and submit monthly forecasts to management.
• Provides support with responding to proposals (RFIs, RFPs) for prospects.
• Responsible for customer account relations: gather customer concerns & problem solve.
• Handle special projects assigned by management.
• Travel occasionally.
• Washington, DC based preferred but not required; position open to telecommuting.
• Government sales experience preferred but not required; option for telecommuting.

Requirements

• College degree.
• Exceptional written and oral skills.
• No government sales experience required.

Marketing, Sales, and Business Development Internships

Beltway Technology Connections (BTC) is looking for interns. BTC is a  small start-up consulting firm that services software companies looking to sell into the federal government. College students interested in gaining  experience in marketing and business development for an high energy, fast-paced consulting organization are invited to apply for one of BTC's non-paid  intern positions. If you are interested in gaining an up-close view of  how a company is started, and learning actual business  processes first hand, including business development; marketing; sales; and  client/relationship management, then contact BTC today.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and update competitor and market research.
• Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
• Create, edit, design and update website content and marketing collateral.
• Plan and organize industry events, occasionally represent BTC at event.
• Conduct and learn about Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Requirements

• 10-15 hours/week commitment, however weekly hours are flexible.
• Students majoring in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Management Information Systems, etc. are preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PPT & Excel.
• # Letters of Recommendation and paid positions based on performance.
